There are two types of military bases in the United States. Larger bases are those that are larger than 4 hectares (10 acres) and worth more than $10 million. The number of US military personnel stationed at these bases is usually excessive. Approximately 60% of the US’s foreign bases fall under this group. Smaller bases, on the other hand, are roughly less than 4 hectares in size or have a value of less than $10 million. This group includes the remaining 40% of US foreign military bases.
